Enter your price and see the net proceeds after Apple's and Google's commission, side by side — including the Small Business Program, the 15% year-two subscription rate and VAT-deducting storefronts.
In storefronts where Apple and Google collect VAT (EU, UK, and most others) the tax comes out of the customer price before the commission split — try 20–25% to see the real EU numbers. US sales tax is added on top of the price instead, so leave 0 for US sales.
Small Business Program rate (enrolled, under $1M prior-year proceeds).
Play's 15% service-fee tier on your first $1M of earnings each year.
The math is the same in any currency — type €3.99 or £7.99 and read the results in that currency. Actual payouts vary slightly with storefront pricing, exchange rates and per-country tax rules.

US sales tax is added on top of the sticker price, so it doesn't reduce proceeds — which is why the US rows keep the largest share.
30% of the price net of VAT by default. If you're enrolled in the Small Business Program (under $1M in proceeds the prior calendar year) it's 15%, and auto-renewing subscriptions that a customer has kept for more than a year drop to 15% for every developer. The commission covers payment processing, hosting and distribution — beyond it you only pay the $99/year developer membership.
Apple's reduced 15% rate for developers who earned up to $1M in proceeds in the prior calendar year. It is not automatic — you enroll in App Store Connect and it applies from the following month. If you cross $1M during a year, the standard 30% applies to the remainder of that year's proceeds.
Google charges 15% on the first $1M of earnings each calendar year (you opt in once in the Play Console) and 30% on earnings above that. Subscription revenue is 15% from day one for all developers since January 2022 — there is no year-one/year-two distinction on Play. Google's one-time developer fee is $25.
In most storefronts (the EU, UK, and many others) Apple and Google act as merchant of record: they collect and remit VAT out of the price the customer pays, and the commission is calculated on the remainder. A €9.99 sale in a 25% VAT country is really a €7.99 sale for split purposes. In the US, sales tax is added on top of the sticker price where applicable, so it doesn't reduce your proceeds.
Both stores now offer alternative terms in some regions — external purchase links, alternative app stores in the EU, and fee structures like Apple's reduced commission plus Core Technology Fee. Those combinations depend heavily on your volume and setup, so this calculator sticks to the standard worldwide terms that most independent developers are on.
They're the exact commission math on a clean price. Real payouts differ slightly because stores set per-country price points, apply local tax rules (some countries add withholding taxes), and convert currencies at their own rates. Treat the result as a reliable planning number, not an accounting statement.
